Kindred spirits Junior Loves & Scientific Dreamz of U divine for you a sacred pathway into “kestrel sound”, an ancestral recollection of visions and energies composed with passion and tenderness in the gentle confluence of two minds.
Both of these cosmic-minded producers are based in London, hosting the NTS show "kestrel explorations" which shares a similar wider concept to this split cassette and digital releases; voyagistic and darkly cosmic ambient, electro and techno hybridizations. Their investments into this very specific realm of Sagan-ian electronica push forward with patience and an insane ear for the journeyistic in addition to looking back towards a particular ancient-ness and mysticism.
The tape represents a personal interpretation of the majestic flight of the kestrel, infinite in its grace and poise. These two spirit guides lead you down distinct conduits on their respective sides, unified by a shared destination and each nourishing to the soul in its own right.
Before Scientific Dreamz of U spirals deep into the cosmos with astral and often industrial-tinged techno mechanics on his side, Junior Loves begins “The Dreamcode” with a half hour of guitar-oriented zones of twisted daydreams and space-age meditations and with moves through trip-hop and out into dark techno.
“The Dreamcode” entreats you to relax, listen with an alpha-wave mindstate and grow alongside us in this journey, crystallized in the ritual object you hold before you (or alternatively as low-entropy magnetic states within your local logic system).
